After a leisurely lunch in Bressanone, we drove another couple hours to Levico Terme, a small town on a small lake just outside of Trento. This destination was mostly chosen for its location – we wanted a short drive for our first day of the trip, and we wanted to relax and do nothing once we arrived at our destination. Well, nothing besides eating yummy Italian food.
Levico has a small medieval town center with a couple narrow roads and a central church. I imagine in the summer it’s bustling, but on this particular Saturday night there was barely the odd aperitivo-drinker to be seen on our evening stroll.
Dinner was at Boivin, a cute restaurant in the old town. It served our purposes nicely.
The food was creative and delicious. Vegetable lasagne came shaped like a flower, with crispy noodles.
The fresh artichoke quiche and the ginger semifreddo also earned themselves stars in my travel notebook. A local blueberry digestif topped the meal off.
It would have been nice to walk around the lake the next morning, but storm clouds threatened, so we hopped into the car and raced towards our next destination, arriving just in time for lunch.
Hi it’s been a while since I read your blog. So now you’re two.^^ Glad to know that you’re still having a good time in Europe! I really want to travel to Germany one day. Cheers!
