This month I’ve been busy over at my art blog, participating in Art Every Day Month. AEDM was started by artist Leah Piken Kolidas several years ago, and I’ve wanted to participate ever since I first heard about it. So far I’ve found it a great motivation and also a nice way to ‘meet’ other artists online.
Given that I’ve decided to blog about my AEDM creations daily, I’m also participating in NaBloPoMo, or National Blog Posting Month. The idea of this, you guessed it, is to post every day for a month. Just because.
I think both of the aforementioned November events were inspired by NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, in which I participated two years ago. Participants aim to write at least 50,000 words of a novel during the month of November. That’s a lot of words.
What creative stuff are you doing this November?

Photo: Munich – Theatinerkirche, acrylic on canvas, 45 x 45cm, by me.
There’s another one of these Mo things too – SoFoBoMo for photography. We just started it this year

Was a lot of fun. The Novel one seems a bit crazier to me.
You probably know, I’m also hanging with Leah. Loving the sky in this painting. You have a way. Your work makes me want to step inside and wander around these places. Purely magickal!
As a side note – I felt a swell of pride, unlike any other in my life, when Obama was elected. I’m now very proud to say, “I’m American!” YAY. 🙂

I turn to haiku
Gordon – the novel one is definitely the most time-consuming, anyway… thanks for telling me about SoFoBoMo – I’ll check it out! Now I’ll have something new to try next November. 🙂
Melissa – thanks for your kind words, and for stopping by this blog. Yay indeed about Obama. 🙂
Mark – excellent. I suggest you start a haiku-every-day group.
Gorgeous painting. I am really excited about this. Thanks for sharing!
I love this painting! Im so happy you are diving into painting scenes of Munich. It’s a treat to see familiar spots in acrylic 🙂
MissChris – Thanks. 🙂
Heza – I know, I was thinking it was about time I started painting some Munich scenes. 🙂
I’m doing the NaBloPoMo. It’s a lot harder than I expected. I didn’t realize there were days when I didn’t have anything to say, as I usually never shut up.
The painting is really good; reminds me of some of Cezanne’s more prismatic work. Keep it up!
Dave – thanks! I’m plugging away at several more…
Creative stuff?
Well, yesterday I cleaned out the fridge, and the day before that I sorted the socks. 🙂
Actually, we’re remodeling our bathroom big time, and I hope to get started on a lot of Christmas cooking, baking and maybe some sewing in the next few weeks.
Your painting is beautiful!
Christina – sorting socks totally counts. 🙂
