There are lots of things about Vienna which make me think it would be a nice place to live. One of my favorite parts of the city is the daily outdoor market called the Naschmarkt. It’s just one of those sumptuous sensory-overload type markets, bursting not only with fresh fruit and veggies, but also olives, fresh bread and pasta, dried fruits, fresh sauerkraut, and plenty more. There’s also a section of the market which consists of primarily Asian shops and restaurants where we enjoyed a couple meals during our Easter trip.

I grew up not too far from Vienna and lived there for a couple years. It really is a beautiful city – not just for tourists.
A market with some Chinese restaurants, too? *swoon* My two favorite things.
Really great photos!
Thanks, CN. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your photos. I has been two years since my first visit to Austria and I long to return.
everything looks so pretty! It makes me want to visit Vienna again!
Ched
fresh sauerkraut? yum!
Did you go to the art museums…or see the lippizaners? I like the idea of Vienna, it sounds beautiful, but i’d also like to see the Klimts there. did you see them?
No horses for us, but we did see a lot of great art. I really loved the Schiele paintings we saw this time. Klimt doesn’t grab me quite as much, but still interesting work, too. Vienna has many museums!
