Today we dug our skates out of the closet and went ice skating at Oerlikon, one of Zurich’s three public outdoor rinks. It wasn’t quite as picturesque as skating on a frozen lake (as we were able to do last year in Pfäffikon), but hey, beggars can’t be choosers. At least it felt like winter.
I hear the Dolder ice skating rink is the best. I’ll be checking it out soon.

What ever happened to my most recent pair of hockey skates,eh? Perhaps I should check my parents’ house since…THEY HAVE JUST ‘ABOOT’ EVERY PAIR OF ICE SKATES I’VE EVER USED IN MY LIFE ON A SHELF IN THEIR BASEMENT!
This looks like so much fun. No ice skating rinks ’round these parts.
I hate winter, but skating is one thing that makes it bearable! So pretty.
