As of today, my new favorite band is Bump of Chicken. My love of this group is 100% based on its name alone.
Coming in a close second is Japanese Rap Sta.

Are the record stores there overflowing with Hello Kitty junk? The ones in Little Tokyo here in LA are hehe.
You should get your hair dyed neon blue or something and hang out in Shinjuku, like an anime character, just to see how the locals react 🙂

Kurt – I think the record stores were the only stores that we didn’t see any Hello Kitty stuff in (although I’m sure it was lurking there somewhere). Even temples sold Hello Kitty stuff. Really.
Monica – I asked our Japanese friends about your goosebumps theory. They considered it earnestly, saying that in Japanese its something like ‘bird or chicken skin’, but we have no conclusive evidence. If I ever meet anyone from Bump of Chicken, that’s the first thing I’ll ask…
